golf enthusiasts, there are several golf courses in South Las Vegas and Henderson.
South
In
the South of Las Vegas, there are the Desert Inn Golf Gourse, Las Vegas Country
Club,
Las Vegas Golf Club, Las Vegas National Golf Club and Las Vegas Hilton
Country Club &
Golf Course.
In 1953,
Desert Inn Golf Course held the first PGA
Tournament and the LPGA Tour Championship
in Las Vegas. The golf course was
designed by Lawrence Hughes.
Although the Desert Inn is officially closed,
the golf course is still open too the public.
Las Vegas Country Club
is a private golf course that hosted the PGA Las Vegas Invitational.
The golf
course was designed by Ed Ault and Ron Garl.
The courses are bent grass, the
rough is bermuda and the fairway is dorf.
Las Vegas Golf Club is the
oldest golf course in Las Vegas.
The course was designed by Casey O'Callaghan.
Las
Vegas National Golf Club is an 18-hole bent grass golf course designed by
Burt Stamps.
Las Vegas National, formerly the Las Vegas Hilton Country
Club and Golf Course,
hosted the PGA Tournament of Championships, The Sahara
Invitational, LPGA Championship,
and the LV Invitational.
Henderson
In
Henderson, the golf courses are The Legacy, The Revere, Rio Secco, Wild Horse,
Anthem Country Club, the Dragon Ridge Country Club, the Desert Willow at Sun
City,
and Bali Hai Golf Club.
The Legacy, hosted the US Opening
and the AJGA Las Vegas Founders Legacy Tournament.
The golf course was designed
by Arthur Hills and considered very challenging.
The Revere at Anthem,
has a spectacular view of Las Vegas and the Charleston Mountains!
This golf
course was designed by Billy Casper and Greg Nash.
Rio Secco Golf Course
is located at Seven Hills along the canyons and ridges of the Henderson Valley.
A beautiful view of the city of Las Vegas.
The golf course was designed by
Rees Jones.
Wildhorse is managed by the American Golf Corporation and
the course was designed by Hubert Green and Robert Cupp.
Anthem Country
Club is located at Del Webb and has a spectacular view of Las Vegas!
Dragon
Ridge Country Club is located at Del Webb MacDonald Ranch and has a spectacular

of Las Vegas!

Desert Willow located at Sun City MacDonald Ranch, is a challenging
course that overlooks the
Las Vegas. The golf course was designed by Billy
Casper and Greg Nash.
